Cosmed Clinic specializes in surgical and non-surgical cosmetic procedures. The Chief Surgeon, Dr. Quioz, founded the plastic surgery facility in 1987. Together Cosmed Clinic’s surgeons, anesthetists, and dermatologists have a combined experience of over 30 years. The clinic has appeared in several news segments about plastic surgery and medical tourism. Located in Tijuana, Mexico, Cosmed Clinic is a few minutes from the border and easily accessible, making it an ideal place for many seeking medical treatment.

Cosmed clinic’s facial procedures include face and neck lifts, lip enhancements, rhinoplasty, brow lift, otoplasty, blepharoplasty, chin augmentation, and laser treatment. Plastic surgeries for the body include tummy tuck, liposuction, buttock augmentation and lift, buttock implants, arm lift, body lift, inner thigh lift, and lap band. Procedures provided for breasts are augmentation, lifts, and reductions. Non-surgical procedures include Botox, fillers, CO2 Laser, laser, mesotherapy, photo rejuvenation, and hair removal. The clinic also has a spa for facials, manual lymphatic drainage, permanent makeup, and tattoo removal.

Cosmed Clinic’s doctors, anesthesiologists, and dermatologists are board-qualified. Staff members continue their training to remain current in techniques and procedures. Dr. Quiroz and Dr. Fuentes are Board Certified plastic surgeons and are members of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery; the International Society for Plastic Surgery; the Mexican Society for Plastic, Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgery; and the San Diego Plastic Surgery Society. Both received their training in Mexico and the United States. Dr. Quiroz is also licensed to practice in both countries.

About half of the clinic’s patients travel from the United States. Staff members can help make arrangements for accommodations. The clinic has a discounted rate with some of the hotels in the area. Patients may also recover in one of the two after care facilities affiliated with Cosmed Clinic. Meals at the facilities are also included. One can make reservations for shuttle service to the clinic from the United States border. The round trip fee is $10 per passenger.  Cosmed Clinic offers a financing program through Citerra Financial, which specializes in plastic surgeries and surgeries performed outside of the United States.1

Because information may be difficult to find one may be dubious about going to Cosmed Clinic for cosmetic surgery, but it has received some very positive reviews. One woman said she was very pleased with having gone to Dr. Quiroz, who had been recommended by her gastric bypass surgeon.2  People in one forum said they were going to the clinic on the recommendations of their friends or doctors.3  In another forum, a couple patients rose to the defense of Dr. Fuentes when another questioned the legitimacy and quality of treatment in Mexico.4

The surgeons’ profiles on Cosmed Clinic’s website include their education, certifications, specialties, and affiliations. For easy viewing there is a list of the procedures available with their information, a gallery with before and after photographs, and videos of the news segments that the clinic appeared in. There is also a form for questions and a preliminary review, a map and directions, and a FAQ. The clinic’s English and Spanish website is professional, well designed, and easy to navigate.

Cosmed Clinic, Tijuana

I saw the photos of Casa de Lilas care center (beaautiful) but I don't see any photos of the clinic itself. Are there any on your site?
